• Diesel fuel is subject to the Diesel Fuel Acquisition Tax, the Petroleum and Coal Tax, the Global Warming Countermeasures Tax, and the Consumption Tax.


• While the diesel fuel excise tax is exempt from consumption tax (formally, “not subject to tax”), the petroleum and coal tax and the global warming countermeasures tax are subject to consumption tax. (Double taxation)
