Sexagenary Cycle Calendar
Calculates the sexagenary cycle calendar (day, month, and year zodiac signs) based on the current year and month.
Input using the Japanese calendar is available starting from January 1, Meiji 6 (1873) following the adoption of the Gregorian calendar.
Input of dates before the Common Era is not supported.
There are two methods for calculating the annual and monthly sexagenary cycle signs, and you can select the desired method.
“Apply to Solar Terms” The annual and monthly stems and branches change on the day of the solar term “Risshun” (Start of Spring) for the annual stems and branches, and on the month-opening solar-term days (setsu) for the monthly stems and branches.
“Calendar Month Method” The annual stems and branches change on New Year’s Day of the Gregorian calendar, and the monthly stems and branches change on the first day of each Gregorian calendar month.
This library performs calculations based on celestial mechanics; therefore, the results may differ from actual historically recorded dates.
