Calculates the scale speed (i.e., speed equivalent to that of the actual aircraft) of a model that satisfies the similarity laws for Froude numbers.
If you’re into radio-controlled cars, you might come across statements like, “At 1/10 scale, 20 km/h is equivalent to 200 km/h in a real car.”
Is that really true? A real car traveling at 200 km/h would be quite unstable, and driving at that speed on a highway would be dangerous. However, when a 1/10-scale RC car is traveling at 20 km/h, even a small child can drive it with ease.
This formula calculates the equivalent speed of the full-size vehicle based on the model’s speed, size, and scale. This allows you to determine how fast the model would be traveling if it were a full-size vehicle.
